Arianna O'ConnellAssociate PlannerArianna O’Connell is an Associate Planner for Good City company bringing 6+ years experience in land use planning, real estate entitlements, policy and legislative research, community engagement, Affordable Housing programming, and development of interdisciplinary relationships with stakeholders. Within her work for small non-profit organizations, large development companies, and cities in both California and Pennsylvania, she has focused on providing needed housing, community engagement, and economic development solutions to communities.
Her recent project responsibilities include contract planning for the cities of Belmont, Pacific Grove, and San Leandro. Her experience in current planning includes projects ranging from reviewing single-family homes in sensitive coastal areas, to large office and life science projects in the Bay Area. She is currently serving as Deputy Project Manager for three life science/R&D projects in the City of Belmont ranging from 45,000 to 831,000 square feet in size, development of a specific plan, and development of a zoning text amendment to amend height limitations and allowed uses, and set forth performance and use standards for Life Science/R&D facilities. Arianna previously worked for Lendlease LLC in a partnership with Google where she pushed forward the entitlements process for three large master-planned community projects in the Bay Area. Within this role, she led research on external policy and legislative issues, staying abreast of key regional policy shifts and local political issues to ensure that the development projects incorporated the desires and concerns of the local community and public officials. Additionally, Arianna managed the entitlements schedule for the Moffett Park Project, organizing a team of over 40 members of in-house staff, consultants, to prepare and submit CEQA documents and provide key comments on the Moffett Park Specific Plan and Moffett Park Draft EIR.
