Arianna O'ConnellAssociate PlannerArianna O’Connell serves as an Associate Planner for Good City Company. With 8 years of experience spanning across planning, real estate, and affordable housing, Arianna has broad experience in development. Working in both advanced planning and current planning, she has experience with complex entitlement review, zoning code development, community engagement, Specific Plans, and housing land use law compliance.
In current planning, Arianna leads the review of a 25-unit, 6-story multifamily infill development project processed under SB 330, AB 130, and State Density Bonus Law, and the review of an expansion project for a special district’s corporation yard. In advanced planning, she is preparing a comprehensive outdoor lighting Dark Sky Ordinance. Arianna also plays major ongoing roles in a Harbor Industrial Area Specific Plan and a Town Center Area Plan Update, where she serves as deputy project manager. Additionally, she has supported the evaluation of public sites for affordable housing development and the preparation of a Town Center Specific Plan Update. Arianna previously worked for Lendlease LLC in a partnership with Google, managing entitlements for three large master-planned community projects in the Bay Area and coordinating a team of over 40 staff and consultants on CEQA documentation. After graduating magna cum laude from Allegheny Collage, she served as an AmeriCorps VISTA, working with non-profit organizations in rural Western Pennsylvania focused on housing access for the homeless and people with disabilities.
