Town Center Specific Plan Update - Scotts Valley

Good City Company is leading the preparation of an update to the Town Center Specific Plan for the City of Scotts Valley. The Scotts Valley Town Center is expected to redevelop a former airport property and surrounding properties (totaling 58 acres). The purpose of the update is to reimagine the preferred design of the Town Center to respond to recent and foreseeable development, achieve seamless transitions with the surrounding built environment, and to provide housing to help meet the City’s Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) allocation. Good City’s approach will balance maximizing local discretion within the confines of State law with creating clear regulations.
The scope of work includes changes to the Town Center design, planned balance of uses, circulation plan, urban form standards, objective design standards, development review process, other comprehensive Specific Plan amendments, and phasing. Good City has been providing project management, and Urban Field Studio has provided design services. The “Preferred Vision” was endorsed by the City Council in December 2024. |
