Nick excels at managing diverse partnerships and has a proven track record of implementing solutions for complex urban planning challenges. His experience includes assisting with the development and implementation of key zoning and land use policies, notably the successful voter-approved Plan Tucson, which shapes the city's long-term growth and investment strategies. Nick has also spearheaded significant amendments to the Unified Development Code, enhancing regulations to promote housing choice and streamline the planning review process. With a master’s degree in Sustainable Communities and a background in project management, Nick has implemented award-winning initiatives, such as the Arizona Planning Association Award-winning Community Corridors Tool, designed to enrich community engagement and support reinvestment. In previous roles as a Principal and Lead Planner, Nick has supervised teams responsible for managing a high volume of zoning applications, ensuring timely and quality oversight of both small-scale and large development projects. Nick has led several zoning reforms that have helped modernize regulations in the City of Tucson.
