David Bafumi

AICP Candidate, Assistant Planner

David Bafumi joined Good City in June 2024. As an Assistant Planner, he primarily works on current planning projects in the City of San Carlos.

David has previous experience in current planning as an intern for the City of Orinda. In addition to this experience, David was an intern for Fehr & Peers, as his team conducted a transportation study to support the design of a new shuttle program at Big Basin Redwoods State Park. He was also a Residential Planting Coordinator for Our City Forest in San Jose and worked for over 5 years as a teacher and soccer coach in Connecticut.

In May 2024, David passed the AICP exam, earning him the AICP Candidate designation. David is a few credits away from earning a Master of Urban Planning (MUP) from San Jose State University (SJSU). At SJSU, he has focused on Community Design and Development and Applications of Technology in Planning. David previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Arcadia University.
