Claire MeiAssociate PlannerClaire Mei is an Associate Planner at Good City Company with more than three years of experience in land use planning, real estate entitlements, housing policy, community engagement, and environmental review. She brings strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills to the firm and is proficient in GIS and spatial analysis, data visualization, policy research, and public engagement.
Prior to joining Good City Company, Claire worked for a land use planning consulting firm, where she prepared housing element updates, zoning amendments, and environmental review documents for jurisdictions throughout California. She also has experience navigating current planning processes from both the public and private sectors. On the private side, she supported Costco development projects by coordinating with public agencies, technical consultants, and legal counsel to facilitate complex, multi-agency entitlement processes. In the public sector, Claire has provided contract planning services for multiple cities. She also has supported current and long-range planning initiatives, including building and design review, objective design standards, and development permit processing. Earlier in her career, Claire conducted socioeconomic and spatial research at the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity, where she analyzed housing and demographic trends to inform housing and public health policy recommendations for state and local agencies in Ohio.
